Review: Entire collection of L’Oreal Shine Caresse Dazzling Lip Colour Singapore

Dear Glamifys,

The new L’Oreal Shine Caresse Dazzling Lip Colour is all the rage right now in Singapore. So I had to check it out for myself.

Here is what it says on the box:

“Dazzling Shine Fresh Moisture Light Weight Lip Colour. The 1st lip colour to fuse with your lips. Rich refined colour yet a barely-there lip sensation. Lips feel cocooned in a fresh, dewy sensation. The modern way to play up your lip colour. Made in China. 6 ml and last 12 months.”

The packaging is a sleek gold casing with a doe-foot applicator. It retails for SGD 18.90 at Watsons and Guardians with the occasional 20 -25% discount for it.

One thing I give a thumbs down for is the smell. There is no better way to describe the plastic-ky smell than to say that it is identical to PLAY-DOH. If you don’t mind the smell, then you will love this product.

It currently comes in 8 shades which covers majority of the spectrum from wearable day nudes to bright red for a night out.

You would need to apply a thin coat and let it set for about 1 minute. You know it has set when your lips don’t feel sticky anymore. The initial texture is like applying jelly lip gloss.

Once set, apply a second thin coat and let it set. Give it about 5 minutes before you start to drink or pucker up so that the product doesn’t settle into the fine lines.

Once dry, it can last easily up to 4-5 hours. Colours are pigmented so you only need a thin coat. Lips do not feel dry / flaky / cracking.

The finish texture is that is it “melts” into your lip and you don’t even notice that you have lip stain on. Amazingly, something with such a dry finish actually shows up shiny on your lips just as though it is a gloss.

Besides the smell, one other thing you may mind is that it stains the lips. The packaging did not claim that it is stain rather it is a lip colour.

However from the picture below, you can see that even after I wipe the colours off, you can see the stain clearly from some of the colours.

It does wash out at the end of the day with my cleansing oil so don’t worry 🙂

I think it’s a good lip product just because I don’t feel like I am wearing anything. It also doesn’t transfer which is a good thing since I doubt boys like lipstick stains on their cheeks. Plus, it is extremely affordable !

Hope you like the blog post and do subscribe!!~

** I bought 3 colours : Bella, Eve and Lolita. Lip swatches will be in the next blog post. :p **

How come Milady looks so different in European countries and in Asian countries? Geez! It looks like a berry-toned wine in European countries
