Review: Benefit’s FINE ONE ONE – illuminator for cheeks & lips

HI Glamifys,

Another product that Benefit launched recently was the FINE ONE ONE. It is an illuminator for cheeks & lips.

FOO retails for SGD 47 at Sephora. I purchased mine at a 10% discount so it came up to SGD 42.30.

This is my current favourite for a cheek product. It is sheer but absolutely buildable. Cream product which is not oily. Therefore, all skin types can use this.

**You can use this on the lips which is also pretty for fairer skin tones ** FYI

If you have combination to oily skin, best to use this product after you powder your face. But if you have dry skin, you could use it without powder.

There are 3 colours which are merged side by side in a twist up oval tube. The packaging is gorgeous!! Rose gold.. My “in” colour at the moment haha

Contains 8 g or .28 oz worth of products and is made in the USA.

The first colour is pink champagne (highlighter. Shimmery light pink), sheer watermelon (deep reddish orange which is the main blusher) and soft coral (coral, light orange brown. Least sheen among all 3 colours)

You place the pink champagne on your cheekbone (nearest your eye) and the soft coral just under the apple of your cheeks. The sheer watermelon should hit directly on the apple of your cheek. Do not smile so that FOO can swipe on a flat cheek surface.

Do a long swipe from the centre of your face in an upward motion towards your temple. Then use your fingers to lightly blend the colours in small circular motions.

It blends very easily so use the most gentle touch when doing this.

You will get a healthy dewy glow with this. Very very pretty. It doesn’t last all day so be prepared to apply it after a few hours.

Whilst the product is amazing and very convenient, the price is a drawback. It is very pricey for a cheek product and would be a total splurge.

Apart from that, FOO only comes in 1 colour. Therefore, if you are fair to medium, one or two applications would suffice. However, if you are darker, the colours may not be obvious even after many applications. For darker skin tones, FOO would then be a highlighter more than a blusher.
