Review: MAC Mineralize Volcanic Ash Exfoliator

Hi Glamifys,

Happy Monday.

Last week I saw something new to me on the shelves of MAC @ Sephora.

It was their Volcanic Ash Exfoliator retailing at SGD 54 for 100 ml or 3.4 fl oz.

The makeup artist who attended to me said that this was one of their bestsellers as healing properties as long as the ability to whiten the skin with time. It could also be used on the face and body on a basis of 1-3 times a week.

For those who read my previous post on Mineral Fusion’s scrub , the MAC may seem a little more luxurious in terms of price.

I find that although the mineral fusion is fantastic on my skin, it did not work for those with matured or dry skin types. The MAC volcanic ash, however, works perfect on any skin type. The exfoliating beads also dissolve as you gently rub the scrub onto your skin.

For those who love sugar scrubs, this is one for you. The packaging is grayish with sparkle but please don’t be fooled as the scrub itself is just black hahaha

You only need a very small amount ( probably a pea size amount) for your entire face. It leaves your face feeling smooth and my face actually looks a shade lighter. The pimples on my face also started healing that same night.

Very happy with my purchase and for those who have duplicates of the same category of products (such as 2 -3 scrubs), do alternate their use since each scrub has different benefits.
