Review / haul : Korean’s VDL @ suntec city

Dear Glamifys,

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Last week, a Korean brand opened up its first store in singapore. VDL is on the second floor of the newly renovated suntec city convention mall.

While the products are not as cheap as faceshop, it is still affordable given their range and quality of products.

I purchased 4 items from them and their promotion at the moment is that you can join as a lifetime member with any purchase of SGD 80 and above. You also receive a free lipstick from them.

As a member, for every $20 I spend, I get $1 in credit to be used for my next purchase.

First up, I bought the rounded foundation brush. It is unique as it is like a synthetic flat foundation brush combined with a kabuki brush’s density. The result is a great coverage foundation with minimal pores since you are able to really buff in the foundation is clockwise then anti clockwise directions.

I really like this brush for its size too. It’s small to get into the crevices of your face like beside the nose. Yet, it’s big enough for you to apply foundation to the entire face in a few minutes.

The brush retails for SGD 36

* tip : use this to apply concealer as well. I find that it blends the concealer into the surrounding skin effortlessly. Plus it’s synthetic! Easier to clean the brush that natural hair brushes *

I also purchased a cute nail polish ” dust mint”. It cost SGD 6 and comes in an adorable lip-shaped bottle.

Polish is pigmented and it only takes 2 coats for a proper manicure.

The other interesting product they had was a triple shot lip tint bar. It’s a lip stain in a tube and it has a 3 colours that provide an instant gradient to the lips.

Instead of having to use 3 different lipsticks to get the current Korean trend of bitten lips, this is such a handy shortcut.

As it is a stain, the lip stain is pretty sheer yet buildable. It retails for SGD 24 and comes in a 2 other shades.

It is also very moisturizing and does not sink into the fine lines around the lips.

One of the other products that caught my attention was the baked eyeshadow duos. It comes in many shades and retails for SGD 26.

I picked up the purple duo which has the best colour payoff. It is easy to blend and has little fall out.

One side is a dark purple and the other side is a bronze/pink/rose gold shade. So beautiful on the eyes.

Here are some swatches without any primer.
