Review / Haul : Belif Skincare

Hi Glamifys,

Hope your week has been going great so far!

I bumped into this new Korean skin care store called Belif as I was walking past the newly renovated wing of Suntec City Convention Centre.

The staff were giving out free samples to those waking by too. What attracted me about the shop was the smell.

It had this spa scent… Just like how you smell once you leave a luxurious spa appointment. Plus, it had a lemongrass undertone which is one of my most favorite relaxing scents! Yes, most of their products have a natural fragrance to it which is from the essential oils used. All those I sampled were lemongrass. 🙂

^^ They are having a 10% sale on their masks. !! ^^

Their company only carries products that contain natural ingredients. Good for those who like skin care that is not laden with harsh chemicals.

* funny enough, the sales girl said that I am not allowed to take pictures of the shop and their products even when I said it was for a blog post. Haha oh well! Just pictures of what I purchased then ! :p *

They have masks which you apply overnight and wash off the next morning & also masks which you apply and wash off after 10 minutes.

As my skin is combination/oily, the sales lady recommended their First Aid Deep Pore Cleansing Mask. It retails for SGD 36.

It has green clay which helps in oil control and raspberry leaf extract to minimize pores.

The mask is milky green in color and has a light creamy texture to it.

I personally do not prefer paper mask that is dripping in essence goodness. Just messy in my opinion. Plus all that extra essence! You could keep it in e fridge for another day but who really takes time to do that?!!

This is like my favorite mask right now. It applies like a moisturizer and a thin layer will do. It absorbs into the skin quickly and all you have to do after that is wash it off!

10 minutes and you are done!

The face does not feel tight on the skin like some cream mask can feel.

What I love most about this mask if the instant effect I get after 10 minutes. My skin is so soft, supple, hydrated and smooth. My oh my! Just a great feeling to have before you end the night.

This goes so well with their leave in overnight First Aid 360 Eye Care mask. This retails for SGD 39.

Basically, you just apply a thin layer and leave it overnight. Wash off the next morning and your eyes will look bright and awake.

I found that the following morning, my eye makeup went on more smoothly than usual and the eye lids felt hydrated too.

Just like e deep pore cleansing mask, the eye care mask is to be used about 2-3 times a week.

I loved the mask so much that I went back to get another one! Hehe

One of their best sellers is the First Aid Transforming Peel Off Mask which retails for SGD 36.

It is basically a mask to be used once a week as it replaces the purpose of an exfoliator.

Extremely gentle on the skin and good for those with sensitive skin that cannot be exposed to scrubbing beads.

You apply a thin layer and leave it on for 10 minutes. Pat a little water on your skin and the mask will peel off. You could alternatively just wash it off. Haha save you the trouble of messy peeling 🙂

The only cosmetic they carry at the moment are BB creams. They have 4 types if I am right and the one for oily skin is the Tinted Moisturizer Powdery B.B. This retails for SGD 33.

The way to apply this bb cream is by patting it into the skin whilst rubbing and blending it where needed. It absorbs into the skin quickly and does not leave a sticky feeling.

The bb cream also helps shine control and does not leave a white cast on your face.

I hate matching bb creams as most of the time, they come in 1 or 2 shades which are far too light for me.

However, this bb cream melts into the skin tone matching it perfectly.

The only thing I don’t like about it is that it makes my pores look bigger. I reckon it is the way I applied the cream or the way I blended it ( or the lack of blending).

It comes in a handy nozzle squeeze tube which is great for travel.

The last product I picked up was the Hydra Sebum Control Essence that retails for SGD 57.

This is to be used under your makeup as part of your primer regime.

I do like the fact that my makeup stayed on slightly longer than usual and while shine was present after a couple of hours, my skin on the sides of my face which would normally get a little dry from the aircon felt really nice and bouncy! Haha

It does not have an oily feeling and blends into any skin tone.

Plus they gave me a leaflet for the rest of the essence 🙂

Hope you enjoyed reading this extremely long post!
