Review: Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray

Hi Glamifys,

I ran out of setting sprays and decided to look around for a new one. Previously, I loved urban decay’s “all nighter” the most as compared to Marc’s fix + etc.

While the all nighter did fix the makeup for many hours, it did not mattify the face not help sebum control.

Walking into sephora, I saw that urban decay had repackaged their setting sprays to a more polished classy packaging.

There were 3 types which was the all nighter, de-slick and another for a dewy face.

All 3 were retailing for sgd 48 each. So I decided to try out the de-slick setting spray this time around.

Whilst skindinavia sells products in Europe under their own brand name, they also supply urban decay under their makeup line.

The packaging now looks more pleasing to the eye rather than the colorful tie-dye previously haha

What is nice about this packaging is that there are two caps to the bottle. A small one to protect the nozzle specifically and the bigger one to protect the top of the bottle.

The setting spray comes out colorless and has a very wet liquidy consistency.

Don’t fret! It dries up matte on your face within minutes.

I do like how my makeup held on for at least 6 hours. My tzone became oily after a much longer time as compared to using ” all nighter”.

Pretty good buy especially for those who have sensitive skin. I also couldn’t detect any offensive fragrance in it.

Just a tip, I really hate spraying setting mist around my eyes because the mascara bleeds and give me panda eyes. Such a pain in the b*tt when setting sprays are your final step in makeup.

I had to redo my undereye concealer and powder. Bummer!

What I usually do is apply all my makeup and leave the mascara or eyeliner till later. Anything that can bleed in contact with water should be applied after the setting spray. 🙂

Your best bet is probably heading to an urban decay counter and spritzing it on your face to see which of the 3 makeup setting sprays suits you best.

Thank you for reading my blog!

Cheers,
