Review: illamasqua’s fundamental palette

Hi Glamifys,

I was so excited when illamasqua was on sale a month ago and decided to purchase a few things.

There was a palette in particular that was slashed from £34 to £10 which was a good bargain. Or so I thought….

The fundamental palette is apparently an experimental piece and contains 1 liquid metal in surge ( silver), powder shadow in hype ( yellow matte) , powder shadow in inception ( purple matte) and cream pigment in bedaub ( minty green).

The powder shadows had very bad color payoff. It took plenty of layering just to get a decent coverage.

The minty cream pigment was creamy and it creased badly.

The liquid metal was the worst of all. It creased within a few seconds. I thought it was because I didnt set it. So I tried putting the liquid metal on my eyelid, waiting a few minutes and batting my eyelid to see if it would crease. U guessed it! It creased!

For the minty cream and liquid metal, I tried setting them with powder which didnt help much anyways.

It’s been a really long time since I bought something which I absolutely dislike. 😦

I will try it one more time just to be sure the fundamental palette is not my thing haha
