Quick review: Illamasqua’s skin base

Hi Glamifys,

My skin has been rather grouchy lately and didn’t like heavy foundation for a full day. I “re-found” one of my favorite light coverage foundations and thought I would share it with you.

It’s one of those foundations you wouldn’t think of purchasing when you need medium coverage on relatively oily skin since the consistency of the foundation is extremely liquidy.

However, you would be extremely surprised! The coverage is very buildable and since it feels like another layer of skin, you could really pack this on and not be plagued with cakey skin 🙂

As a comparison, I am using skin base 12. Here are my other foundation shades

Mac lightful powder nc 40-42

Mac face and body (new) n2

Mac matchmaster 4.0

LancĂ´me teint miracle O-04

Revlon colorstay 340 warm golden

Mac Pro longwear nc40

Mac Mineralize moisture nc 35 new

Reckon colorstay whipped 250 medium beige

Urban decay naked skin 4.0

Bobbie brown long wear even finish
4.5 warm natural

Bourjois healthy mix serum fond de teint gel 53 light beige

Definitely better coverage and color match as compared to bb creams 🙂 ❤

Blends like a dream !!! You could either order from illamasqua directly or you could purchase it from the counter at Robinson orchard 🙂 I reckon try it first hand at Robinson orchard to get your exact skin match
