Review: MAC Alluring Aquatic Lipstick Swatches

Hi Glamifys,

MAC recently launched their Alluring Aquatic collection in Singapore and it has such been a big hit that most items are out of stock nationwide.

It’s one of the few occasions where MAC has outdone themselves in terms of packaging and diversity of the range.

Each lipstick sells for SGD 32 and is available at most MAC counters.

Do note that some items are not available in Singapore including both extra dimension blushers, Neptune nail lacquer and Legendary Luxe eyeshadow.

The aquatic theme is amazeballs. Yes, those water droplets are 3D!

There are 5 colors in this collection although I only managed to grab hold of 4 personally. 🙂

Mystical is a creme sheen finish and goes on very smoothly. Very fine glitter particles make this dusty rose color wearable for both day and night.

Enchanted one is a matte lipstick which is more of peachy nude tone with a slight brown undertone. Do moisturize your lips a little since matte lipsticks can settle into the fine lines as the day wears on.

Siren song is a lustre finish and goes on pretty sheer. This is fabulous to add that extra shine on top of other lipsticks. Dab some in the middle for that highlighted full lips or use it on its own for a natural lip.

Pet me please was released in an earlier limited edition collection last year so this is a welcomed comeback.
Rose gold with frost finish makes this an easy color to pull off for any skintone.

Goddess of the sea is a purple plum red creme sheen finish. It’s bold and surprisingly enough, it goes well with darker skin tones.

Thumbs up for the lipsticks in this collection. You have a color for each tastebud 😉

Left to right:
Enchanted one
Siren song
Pet me please
Goddess of the sea

I used Enchanted one over the whole lip. Topped it off with siren song to switch the lips from matte to glossy.

Goddess of the sea was then added to all 4 corners leaving the centre of the lips empty. Added pet me please to the centre of the lips for the pop of frost.

    OMG. Thanks a lot ❤
And would I be rude to ask you for an update of Nars cosmetics (especially the lip pencils, blush, multiple and foundation) if possible.

      Hi dear,

If you are intending to buy Nars from Singapore, head down to Tangs on Orchard Road and look for this very sweet makeup artist named KAT.

She’s the one who provided me with this price list 🙂

      Duo eyeshadow – SGD 50
      Lipstick – SGD 37-38
      Lip pencil – SGD 33
      Blusher – SGD 50
      Foundation – SGD 72
      Multiple -60

      Hope that helps 🙂

Can I ask about the price of the usual M.A.C lipstick (which is sold at the price of 16 USD in the website)?
And how is the price of M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer SPF35 ?
