Review: The Body Shop InstaBlur Primer

Hi Glamifys!

Hope you all are doing great hee ūüôā

I recently received a request to review the WONDERBLUR Primer by Body shop however, I couldn’t find any the bodyshop near my home ūüė¶

Maybe next time I’ll try again to get my hands on the Wonderblur and test it out. Not sure if it has a different effect for me compared to the Instablur Primer… Scroll down for more !

InstaBlur is a new launch which has been very much raved about !ūüėć

There are 2 Instablur items; one for the face and another for the eyes.  I chose the one for the face.

It comes in a universal shade and to be honest, it feels like a silicone primer. ¬†I’m sure it has silicone in it that helps to smoothen out pores and lines.

Retails for SGD 32.90 each and contains the key ingredient of MARULA Oil.

This is what I got from the body shop website ūüôā

“This all-new face perfector blurs imperfections, giving you flawless photo-perfect skin in an instant! With Community Fair Trade marula oil

Five action perfector:

  • Shine Controlling 12h
  • Reduces appearance of pores
  • Blemish Hiding
  • Complexion Unifying
  • Make-up Extending”

And yes! I find that Instablur does help my skin to be less shiny by controlling the sebum production as well as smoothening out any bumps or pores or wrinkles in my face.

It provided a nice base for my foundation to glide on and I found that the foundation lasted about 3 hours longer than usual.

Left : without instablur

Right: with instablur as a base and Bodyshop virgin olive oil foundation on top

Excuse the tired face… Past midnight and I wasn’t about to conceal any imperfections or eyebags haha #stayingreal!

While the primer didn’t have such a WOW effect up close as the pores could still show through (probably half its original size), it pleasantly surprised me when I took a selfie.

Once the camera was further away from my face, my skin looked blurry and the huge pores sort of disappeared! Especially those on my nose.

Happiness! Such an affordable magic in a bottle.

Most silicone primers broke me out but INSTABLUR did not have any negative effects on my sensitive skin

Hope you found that helpful!

Upcoming reviews: COVERMARK’s Mositure Veil Creamy Liquid foundation, SUGARPILL haul & Dr Jart + PORE MEDIC skincare regime
